AJ McCarron was born on September 13, 1990, in Mobile, Alabama, United States. He was raised in a football-loving family and had a passion for the sport from an early age. He attended St. Paul's Episcopal School in Mobile where he played as a quarterback for the school's football team. McCarron later attended the University of Alabama where he played college football for the Crimson Tide from 2009-2013. During his time at the university, he was a part of three BCS National Championship teams and had numerous individual accolades. In the 2014 NFL Draft, McCarron was selected by the Cincinnati Bengals in the fifth round, where he played as a backup quarterback for four seasons. In 2018, he signed with Buffalo Bills and currently plays for them.
